Our trip to Versailles was fantastic. Our friends Jerome and Jenny were great hosts! We took the night train to Paris and then journeyed on the metro to Versailles, where Jerome and Jenny live.
The first day we visited the Park at Versailles, where Marie Antoinette had a “play” farm. She liked to go there to get away from the stress of court life. The boys really enjoyed looking at the animals there.
The next day was our day in Paris. Keeping it light for the kids we visited the Arc de Triomphe and then did a boat trip on the Seine. The weather wasn’t great, but it didn’t rain too much.
Our third day we went to the Chateau (Palace in this case) at Versailles. The line was very long, but we did get in and see the splendors of the court.

It was our first real sightseeing trip with the boys. I was nervous about how they would do, but they were great. It helped that Camron developed a real crush on Jenny and that Jerome offered excellent diversions for the boys in the form of race car and monster truck video games. He was very patient, not even minding Camron trying to wake him up at 8:00 on a sunday morning because the stuffed bunny rabbit wanted to play video games.
